Attached to the end of a clevis pin tie-rod, the clevis screw jack is fitted with its own ball bearing, which can be operated with a wrench, to take up the mechanical tension of a suspension or anchor chain, with a view to replacing it. The choice of ball bearings depends on the type of support (saddle with two spreader plates).
