The Tie-back connector is used as an auxiliary part, to temporarily secure a conductor without mechanical tension. It is used, for example, for : • To prepare the connection of a jumper by means of a coupling other than a ringed connector. • Hold flapped down on the conductor a jumper whose end is not equipped with a ringed connector. It is used on copper and aluminium conductors. It is not to be used to assume an electrical connection; its use is temporarily only.
Clamping capacity of the jaws: from 12.5 mm² (#6) to 250 mm² (490 kcmils), which corresponds to wires or cables with a diameter between 4 mm (.16’’) and 18 mm (0,71’’).
