The Indirect Discharge Module (MDI) enables a buffered discharge through a resistor for the residual charges of sensitive capacitive circuits when they are powered down. This module has a U-terminal end fitting and must be paired with an appropriate insulating pole depending on the use and the potential voltage present during discharge. In the appropriate case, a PPOL would be perfectly suitable.
It is necessary to choose the correct reference that will meet the desired application to ensure safe use. To do this, one must know the maximum potential voltage present as well as the energy to be discharged in order to determine the discharge time needed to reach a non-hazardous voltage level.
